Sunni Brown and Doodlers Unite!

Reluctant Writers

As educators we have all encountered  students who find writing tasks to be tedious and painful. Using comic strips can help reluctant writers express themselves in a meaningful way while still fulfilling the necessary criteria of the assignment.

Here are a few interesting links for comic strip creation:

Why Use Brainbreaks?

All students need to move and interact to learn effectively. Challenging the learning state of an individual 2-3 times an hour can make a huge difference in attention and in 'storage and retrieval' of information.

Brainbreaks are fun! Laughter and anticipation are great states for learning and many brainbreaks allow students to experience levity and novelty in the day. This in turn may result in students developing better attitudes about learning.
